its INDIA....india from the epiglottis !!!

Appeasingly,amidst of fear, violence, controversys finally "MNIK"(My Name Is Khan) was released.It finally jostled through the controversys which undoubtedly were futile, and in no concern with the movie! Well this is INDIA.. i guess the main theme of the whole journey should have been"my name is india.. do whatever you can". And Shahrukh Khan was honoured as living martyr! Well this goes really true for him, as the movie witnessed an overwhelming response inspite of the canopy of MNS(Maharashtra Navnirman Sena)! Seems incredible, isn't it? This is clearly an indication of how still the right and truth can dwell in India!Few days back when Mr. Thackrey said that Maharashtra now would be a vernacular state, i was surprised that now the day is not far when even to enter Maharshtra i should know marathi well. When they talk of so much parochialism it forces me to think why not have all the states as independent, we can have 29 new INDIAS! Today when on the name of regionalism they assert of unemployment and poverty, where does their kindness and concern go when each month a new lavish hospital is built in country with all the modern amenties and five star suits when people are still struggling and reeling without hovels! Is this India, is this democracy, it baffles me each moment when i see children pulling the rag sacks on their backs.And on the other side when i see the lavish and big glitzy malls looking more like skyscrapers!When i see the people still waiting in queues to get attended by doctors and space in the hospital to get the treatment done, and suddenly you read in morning a new branch of Apollo and Fortes built. And again the next morning ministers of states assert we need capital to raise hospitals,the vicious circle continues and it reaches the same state and finally the things are put on the back burner... and with a very responsible statement" We are working to eradicate these issues"! Then why are still the political parties howling and fighting in the name of regionalism and religion! Why the statements by celebs are given so much hype, to an extent that the innocents suffer! Now will the political parties decide what we should watch and what we should say and to whom we should support!I am afraid the day is near when the political parties would decide what we should wear too.. a new culture invasion! Today India has to progress a lot not only in the name of development but rather in the context of Independence... the independence of the common man!!
